1. What is Temple of Hugs?
Temple Of Hugs is a conscious, non-dogmatic community and living project dedicated to restoring human connection through affection, presence, and creative practice. We build safe, intentional spaces — physical Temples — where people can gather, practice loving presence, receive affectionate touch in a consent-based container, create together, and evolve emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
What are your missions?
We have two complementary missions. Our worldly mission is activism for hugs: to raise awareness about the loneliness pandemic and the health effects of touch starvation, especially as life becomes more digital and mediated by AI. Our spiritual mission is to raise collective consciousness toward a new paradigm of love by building Temples of Hugs — living spaces of affection, connection, creativity, and daily practice.
Where is Temple Of Hugs located?

Why do people come to Temple Of Hugs?
People join to evolve on all levels through connection, to belong to a conscious community where they can feel truly loved and seen, and to discover and follow their vocation with support and mentorship. Some arrive seeking more touch and presence; others bring artistry, vision, or the wish to deepen their spiritual life. All are welcomed into a practice of daily care and mutual support.
How do I become a member?
Begin by reaching out via our Contact page or social channels and sharing a few words about yourself. You’ll receive a short sign-up form. The onboarding is gradual: an initial online meeting, followed by in-person sessions — usually starting with a one-week 1:1 protocol or a small-group experience. Participation is donation-based, and we support a slow, trust-building integration into the community.
Is there a selection or onboarding process?
Yes. To protect safety and harmony we use a careful selection and onboarding process. Newcomers begin with a one-on-one or small-group introduction week that lets both sides feel resonance and alignment. Our process centers on consent, emotional maturity, and shared values. This ensures the container remains safe, compassionate, and trustworthy.
Is Temple Of Hugs affiliated with any religion or spiritual school?
We honor and learn from many spiritual traditions, but we do not follow any single doctrine. Temple Of Hugs is non-dogmatic and humanist in orientation: our core practice is love for humanity, daily presence, and helping people follow their vocation. We welcome diverse practices so long as they align with our values of consent and care.
Are your meetings and practices strictly platonic?
Most of our gatherings are platonic and focused on presence, affectionate touch, creativity, and emotional connection. We also recognize erotic energy as a natural part of being human; therefore, we offer optional, carefully held spaces and workshops where established members may consciously explore this dimension — always within strict protocols of consent, emotional maturity, and mutual care.
Are you some kind of a cult?
We are at the very beginning of this journey, and Temple Of Hugs is still taking shape. At its core, this is a voluntary community experiment centered on affection, touch, connection, and human presence – not a belief system, hierarchy, or ideology.
In modern culture, any group that gathers intentionally around intimacy, care, and shared values is often quickly labeled a “cult.” We understand this concern, and we welcome open questions. Our intention is to move slowly, transparently, and with care, learning as we grow. Participation is always optional, consent-based, and grounded in personal freedom. We encourage dialogue, reflection, and healthy skepticism – including toward ourselves.
As the community grows, we intend to co-create clear agreements and structures together with our members, rather than imposing rigid systems from the start.
What are the financial implications for joining Temple of Hugs?
To sustain the community, members contribute via a monthly donation. Our programs and onboarding are donation-based to keep participation accessible while ensuring the Temple can operate. We also offer donor tiers and fundraising opportunities for those who wish to support the broader project (e.g., bringing the first Temple to life).
When will the first Temple be built, and where in Europe?
Our first Temple will be located in Europe. We are currently in the community-funded planning and fundraising phase (our goal is $7M).
